You don't think certain aspects of a sports team aren't commodities? Sure the QB and the players on the field aren't, but what about the things that go into making the team function. Take a football team, now what about the concession vendors at the game. Does the team care about the individual that is pouring your $6.00 beer, no they only care that the beer is poured.
That is where the commodity comes in, professional labor in general is not a commodity. However unskilled un professional labor is. Construction workers, farmers, trash collectors, grocery store clerks. You know all the people the country actually relies on to ensure that the system functions and that you and I can get up and go to work in the morning and do our tech jobs. A guy that works as a wal-mart shelf stocker DOES NOT have the same opportunity that an individual with more specialized skill sets has. A computer programmer, an architect or anything else along those lines have to compete with other individuals based on talent and abilities. A grocery store clerk has to compete with other breathing people that can read a little and stand up. > -----Original Message----- > From: Gruss Gott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Wednesday, December 21, 2005 12:30 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: Whos been walking to work past 2 days? > > Rarely, in my experience, is labor ever a commodity.
