I never said that. I am suggesting that there is a place for profiling in law 
enforcement and security. All types of profiling , including age, race, 
gender, behavior, appearance etc. Under the current threatening 
circumstances, I think the American people need to get it out of their heads 
that profiling, including racial profiling, is wrong. It's a dangerous trend 
to make profiling illegal. I think most people intuitively agree with me on 
this. If you have been on a plane since 9/11, don't tell me you were not on a 
higher state of awareness, examining the other passengers.
Profiling was probably a factor in the apprehension of the sneaker bomber. 
I'm sure the flight attendants were keeping a close eye on the fanatic. In 
this case, ignoring the obvious would have been fatal. Making it socially 
unacceptable or worse yet illegal, just doesn't make sense.
