People have the right to racial profile and to most
importantly look out for there safety and life, and if
that means keeping an eye on any Arab looking
passengers, then its your right and that's just the
way it is.....

Now, if you decide to act out your fear or suspicious
with no evidence and demand the removal of this or
these passengers out of the plane, even after they are
checked and then re-checked, then what's the
difference between that and lets say a group of white
people and a black man getting in a train car, since
everyone seems to agree with previous posts that we
are all racist and we practice racial profiling, even
if it is just in our minds, then a white lady can call
out the train operator or a police officer and asks
him/her to remove that black man, WHY ? cause maybe
the lady was once rapped by a black man, or knows a
white lady that was rapped by a black man, she has
every right to look out for her safety during this
train ride. Another white man can claim he was once
robbed by a a black man, so he fears for being robed,
one might say he watched TV and saw a black man stab a
white man, isn't it his right to demand that he is
safe ?? Is that not what is happening now ? ..So when
this black man is being watched by everyone on the
train for fear of his actions, should he feel scared ?
does he have the right to object being profiled and
searched, is he guilty for the crime of another black
man ? what if it was a train full of black people, and
a white man comes in, how would people think of it
then ? should we also prevent Aids victims from
getting on the train ?..I mean where would it stop ?

The truth is, I fear for my life just as most people
do after 9/11, whether its getting on a plane and
doing my job or crossing the GW everyday, or having
lunch on the steps of the Empire State Building, you
just don't know.....But being an Arab-American like I
am, or just an Arab or a Muslim in these days is not
an easy thing, 9/11 and the media have caused more
damage to Arab-Americans than anyone can imagine. So
we are really getting hit hard from both sides, living
in fear and the general post 9/11 effects it had on
people, and then again living in fear and living with
this anti-arab and terrorist image that the media has
successfully associated with us. Some, or maybe many
might say you deserve it and you brought it on
yourselfes..but NO we didn't, Millions of Arabs and
Muslims and hundreds of thousands of them American
Arab, Americans just as much as any American can be,
went to trial and have been found GUILTY for the
crimes of 20 hi-hijackers, who till today, not one do
we know his real name or where he is from, but it has
been accepted who to blame and life goes on.

When I travel and my flight leaves while I'm held for
security reason, or I'm being assigned a different
seat number, or purposely moved to a different section
from where I originally was, the only thing I miss or
complain about when this happens is not traveling with
the guys I always travel with, guys I work with. BUT
if I had the backing of the President of the US or the
CIA Or the SS, like this SS did, I most definitely
would do the same thing the SS guy did...and call me a
"Whining Ass" as much as you like......If your Don't
Whine and stand up for your rights and for yourself no
one will ever do for you!
