I had this one when my son dyed his hair green. I told the school that he had 
dyed his hair with my permission, that there was nothing to discuss and that if 
they objected to green hair they should put this in the dress code. 

of course, they had not sent him home or suspended him over it. Personally, I 
would definitely fight it. It's arbitrary and stupid authority at its worst. If 
unable to fight, I would withdraw her.
