What if I'm on a business trip in Dubai and call my wife? Can the NSA wiretap me? What if a UAE citizen calls me with a business question? Can they tap me? I say unless 2 branches of gov't look over the reason to be suspicious of me and both agree it's strong enough to warrant a search they can't touch me. The president says the NSA should be able to listen in no matter the strength of their case. There's all kinds of possible abuses here: 1.) Gov't overhears a stock tip and dilutes or eliminates my profit. 2.) Gov't overhears industrial secrets and sells them. 3.) Gov't overhears I'm having an affair and blackmails me. Think it won't happen?
