No. Freedom of speech means that the the GOVERNMENT will not restrict
your right to say something.

It does not say that you can say something and be free of reprisals,
just that you will be free from reprisals from your government.

Saying something and getting the shit kicked out of you is perfectly
fine, if the person who did the kicking is in turn willing to pay for
their action. It will make sure that if you want to say something that
makes someone angry enough to hit, you are secure enough in your
stance to accept the consequences.

That, to me, is freedom.

To me it is like a couple of 10 years olds where one is saying things
that should get his butt kicked, but instead of taking his licks he
hides behind the teacher and yells "you can't touch me". Fortunately
there is always recess tomorrow.
