Since when is the medical condition of a private citizen of any concern to the whitehouse press corps? They want to know the condition of the guy, they should ask through the hospital spokesperson where the private individual can make the decision if he wants his medical information released to the press. It's not the office of the VPs call.
This whole affair is pretty much an over hyped feeding frenzy for the press. Should the office of the VP, in the spirit of openness and forthcoming, make sure to let the press know of the VPs stool consistancy througout the day? Sheesh. -----Original Message----- From: Gruss Gott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2006 5:47 PM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Anybody Hear About Cheney Plugging That Dude? > Scott wrote: > But you're right Cheney didn't do anything wrong.. I wonder ... Cheney shoots a guy and: 1.) Doesn't tell law enforcement for 14 hours, 2.) Doesn't tell the President for 22 hours, and 3.) Never tells the US citizens. He simply tells the ranch ower who, on her own, decides that US citizens have a right to know and releases it herself. Then today, the Whitehouse Press Secretary, Scott McFibben, is told PRIOR to the press conference that the gunshot victim has had a heart attack but DOESN'T release it DURING the press conference. WTF? Now, maybe this is just another bungled incident due to Cheney's "leadership" or maybe there's something more that's being hidden, or maybe Cheney has no regard for the press and therefore the American people. You'd think the Whitehouse would be excited that they can finally say one of their top guys has combat experience.
