He he If people saw what I see for government waste and abuse every day they would freak out.
Thankfully I don't work in law enforcement, or I would be screwed. -- Tim Heald [EMAIL PROTECTED] 703-300-3911 -----Original Message----- From: Gruss Gott [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, March 03, 2006 2:52 PM To: CF-Community Subject: Re: Pay off debt, get investigated by Homeland Security > KG wrote: > They just paid a hefty chunk of their credit card balance. Sometimes it's on purpose, sometimes it's not. Either way we pay the price. Here are the human factors that lead to abuse: 1.) NIMBY - Fix it, but don't impact me. 2.) It must be you. Gee, they're cameras in your bathroom? Not mine, it must be you. 3.) Do it on the cheap. "It'll cost how much to do it right? Well, do it cheaper." 4.) 9-5 Syndrome. "You're having a problem? Sorry, I have a BB game tonight." 5.) The biggie, Gov't God Complex. It's "the government", they'll help us. #5 is always the one that astounds me. If you ask somebody, "do you trust that stranger with your wallet?" They'll say, "no way, dude". But if you say, "the government would like to see your wallet." Most people say, "sure!" WTF? Why do people think the gov't is not made up of flawed people working with flawed tools in a flawed system, but, instead, some type of benevolent Deity? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:198797 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
