But if I get caught, I get a ticket. And I can't say it's unfair. My whole point to this thread was that the Hispanics are saying it's unfair to enforce a law. (I hate to use an entire race like that, but the original article did.) > And it's a good analogy because that's exactly what the Mexicans are > saying. Sure going through a stop sign is a 'small' thing, but I bet a lot of people die every year from that. I don't consider it a stupid law at all. Actually, while I will admit to going over the speed limit, I never roll through stop signs. I've got 3 kids. I know how fast they can run out into the road. > And when the US government suddenly threatens to begin enforcing a law > it hasn't really, just because there's too many Mexicans around, then, > sure, a race can feel attacked. Is there -really- a problem of illegal Irish immigration? Have I missed the news on the "Irish Problem" somehow? it is racist to say this is a Mexican problem when a vast majority of the illegals are Mexicans? > Again, the point is this: legal and illegal are outcomes of a choice > already made. Hey, my choice is enforce the law. If I have to pay more, fine. At least I know the guys picking the fruits are getting a living wage. -r ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:201598 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
