That's not true - officers actively don't enforce stop signs unless
there's a real problem which is why they're usually not watching ANY
stop signs.

The same thing is true with immigration.  From what I've heard, if I
called the INS and said, "hey, there's at least 50 illegal Mexicans
fixing roofs in my neighborhood" they'll say, "so what do you want us
to do about it?"   And the police will say the same because it's not
criminal, i.e., the only punitive part of being illegal is detention
and deportation - something the Police don't do.

Again, let's face the facts: this law is simply a lag - a relic, an
anachronism - of a choice already made.  So to say "let's enforce the
law" is non-sensical.

Americans don't want that law enforced which is why we've got 12
million illegals in the first place!
