I don't think we are going to be able to systematically catch those who are already in. Nor do I neccessarily think we need to.
But I do think we should have tools on the books to handle those who are caught. Currently, there is nothing that can be done once they are caught. I'd like to see them punished. It could be a fine, deportation, severe talking to. I don't think a wink and a nod is the right solution. I also don't think just punishing the employees is the right solution, but the employers should suffer as well. Especially those who are helping illegal employees to avoid taxes. I am not looking for INS raids on farm hands. I am more interested in additional tools on the books to handle those illegals who need to be handled.
