There was a ton of activity when I was on the way home, man was I wrong about DC being quiet today.
It was a very difficult train ride for me. Seeing the Mexican flag over the US flag, some cases of the US flag upside down. All of this was capped off by having to pull 5 flags out of the garbage at Huntington Metro station when I got there. I was deeply effected by this. Illegal immigration is still illegal. The people that are coming here are not coming here to become Americans, they are coming here to reap the benefits of being Americans, without the background, the knowledge, and the cultural shit that I think should be expected of all immigrants to this country. The simple, off hand, desecration of our flag shows me that. It wasn't intentional, it wasn't done to piss me off, to make me think of my friends that died for that fucking piece of cloth, to think of us fighting so that a person that is here illegally can shit all over the sacrifices my friends, compatriots, and I have made. many of us are wounded and broken and, so that these groups like La Rasa can call us savages, thieves and murderers. Tell us of the return of Aztlan. I'm really at a loss for words. I was so angry that I literally wept a little on the ride home. I wanted nothing so bad as to lash out at every protester I saw, and just forced myself to calm down with thoughts of my new house, my wife and my children. I, shit, I'm out.
