The Patriot Act effectively suspends Habeus Corpus, to say nothing of
all the "enemy combatants" who have been held without charges or legal
advice at Gitmo.

I sometimes think Bush could declare the US a dictatorship and other
than a lot of rhetoric, nothing would be done to stop him.
