Nope, the WiFi is there, I use it every day!  What they did is, as
delivered, you can't have WiFi and the phone on at the same time.
This is fixed, however, in about 20 seconds with a reg hack.

I don't know if there's as many registry hacks with the other phones
as this one, but that's what I love about this thing - you basically
have unlimited access to configure the buttons, functions, volumes,
memory, CPU, graphics, etc to exactly how you want it for your
specific use.

For example, if you want, you can shut off EV-DO all together
(although I don't know why you'd do that).
