The difference between us and terrorists is how we treat people and how we value human life. The danger in keeping an "American Gulag" is not to the prisoners, it's to us. It's to our way of life, how we view human life, and what it does to us as a country when we lock up other humans indefinitely without process or review. If we say, "only citizens deserve rights ..." then we are saying that not all men are created equal. Then we are not a shining beacon of liberty, just another country of thugs. Then we offer nothing to the World and so don't deserve their respect.
