Of course! What the hell else would we be? Or would the military be
for? We're there for 2 reasons only:

1.) To provide security to the new government. Security for Afghanistan.
2.) To search out and find any elements of Al Quaeda or other
terrorist elements. Security for America.

> So we should surrender and wait for another

No Sam. I'll give you the priority list since you don't know:

1.) Pursue and eliminate all elements of Al Quaeda no matter where
they may be in the World. It's Mr. Bush that's made that a second
priority to invading a random country that posed no threat to the US.

2.) Our second priority should be to work with the world to discourage
any government that supports Al Quaeda or terrorism against the US.
If a government such as Syria is providing aid to Al Quaeda they
should have the world to deal with, not just the US. Since the world
was with us in attacking Afghanistan that shouldn't be too tough.
Unless we did something really stupid. Like invade a random country
that posed no direct threat to the US. Especially when we have the
leader of a group that did still running around.

3.) Our third priority should be to work with the world to ensure that
rogue nations bent on starting wars are shut down. Tops on that list
would be North Korea.

That's funny because I thought you were a Bush Bullshit Expert. Well
I'm not so I don't remember all of them off the top of my head and I'm
certainly sick enough of Bush's bullshit so I'm not going to search.
Plus I just don't care enough. But I do remember this progression so
far:

The Pentagon changed their name from the Public Relations Office to
the Perception Management Office. Clearly the Pentagon believes
perception is reality. In order to convince people that their debacle
in Iraq wasn't one, they created these over the last few years that I
can remember:

(1.) GWOT - The "Global War on Terror". Except the Pentagon only
meant a small subset of terrorists; no IRA, no Tamil Tigers, no
Spanish ETA. Too many questions there they couldn't answer so
they changed it to:

(2.) GSAVE - The "Global Struggle Against Violent Extremism". This
was more clear about effort, a "struggle" rather than war, but still
was not specific
enough. So then the Pentagon changed it to:

(3.) The Long War. This brings back the concept of war, but leaves
out terrorism.

They went on from there, but I don't remember anymore. Although it
wouldn't surprise me if they're back to where they started. That
happens a lot with Bush. He has a great talent of turning something
into nothing.
