The rest of the country remembers that most of New Orleans is ten feet below sea level at the edge of the Gulf of Mexico in an area prone to hurricanes. Everyone feels sympathy for people who lost homes and lives in the disaster, but think about this. People said for decades that there would be a flood and the city would be destroyed. Lo and behold, there was a flood and the city was destroyed. It sucks, but it was predictable and predicted. Now everyone needs to move on and figure out what to do with their lives.
