Back at ya!

Naw, I'm still at 20%+ body fat and it turns out that it's enormously
difficult to add any appreciable amount of muscle, especially as you
get older. Being in my mid-thirties now it gets tougher every day ...

Since my beginning I've probably put on about 20-30 lbs of muscle that
wildly fluctuates. If I miss even a week my muscle drops off quickly -
it's sad.

My best time, though, was when I was supplementing with creatine - it
was like 'roids for me and my wife even commented. I only did that
for a month though.

I've switched to 10x12 lately with only the last rep to failure at 8
sets or so and that doesn't really build any muscle. My weights are
going up but very slow.

Last week I started the Erika plan of jogging but it really bothered
my back. Although I may try to suffer through it. The good news was
my cardio was fine and no more shin splints. The doctor had told me
that strenthing your quads cures that and knee problems - which it
did!

So if I can get over the back problems I'll ramp up the jogging. Then
I'll be like Erika!
