Not sure how you'd draw that conclusion since I said that because
religion attempts to definitively solve a problem without data while
theoretical physics attempts to solve a problem with data.

Nevertheless, it's an interesting question because many would says
theoretical physics has become religious and the dominant religion is
string theory; 90%+ of PhD grads are believers due to pressure in grad
school.

I have a friend who's just started his PhD and hasn't seen the
pressure yet, but it'll be fun to see if he does.
