If you follow Thomas, it's the pursuit of truth that makes the Gnostic. So, in that regard, Einstein could be considered Gnostic. For example, I've heard from Christians, American Indians, Muslims, etc that they've "heard God" and "had visions". Well, there's only a few possibilities: 1.) They're all lying. 2.) They're all telling truth. 3.) They're all insane. 4.) They all believe they have.
