These things worry me:

1) We're already stretched very thin militarily, I don't know that we have
the resources to escalate this to a regional conflict
2) Iran hasn't come clean about their nuclear ambitions, I'm concerned
about what the already have and haven't told anyone
3) You can't bitch slap a country and not expect some kind of military
response. If I remember my history correctly the Iranian Military is
better equipped and trained than the Iraqi

Yes, but rather then an outright war it'll be a bitch slapping. What
can they do in response?

It might piss off the people and they'll actually start to support the
lunatic in charge or they'll get rid of him sooner.
