It's NOT awful! Believe me, I've seen hundreds, probably thousands,
and yours wasn't awful. The biggest thing with CVs is for me is this:

* No more than one page

* Clearly state the objective (which the position you want today)

* Customize your work experience for the position you're seeking (one
line for non-applicable stuff, specific descriptions for applicable
stuff. - remember, the resume should open the door, you can talk to
everything else once you're in front of the hiring manager)

Reminder: A CV is not your memoirs - it's meant to be a teaser for a
hiring manager who's looking to hire for a specific position and/or
solve a specific problem with staffing. That why it should be short
and VERY EASY TO READ.

Here's the test:

1.) Can I glance at it for 5 seconds and see what it is you want?

2.) If I spend 10 seconds, can I see why you think you're qualified
for the position I"m offering?

3.) If I spend 30 seconds, can I get a bit more in depth on your qualifications?

TIMES UP! You've got 30 seconds to make your case via resume IMO. I
will rarely read a 2 pager and usually don't even give them 5 seconds;
you wouldn't either.
