Our best "trick" is lightning fast, overwhelming, brutal force. We need to get back to a strategy that takes advantage of that. The problem I see is - we are bogged down with guarding every corner, we don't have the forces to swoop. The wings are tired, and we are so busy spinning in every direction we cannot focus on stopping one.
