So that's your best protection right there: a dog. Personally I have
no problem with responsible gun owners and am a CnC proponent (one of
my best friends is a CnC trainer).

What I do have a problem with is the proliferation of guns and
ammunition to criminals. THAT's what needs to be controlled. So I
would say we need a solution that doesn't punish the honest for being
honest, but does keep guns out of the hands of those not responsible
or educated enough to use them. (i.e., why can't I buy an RPG for
recreational use? Where's the NRA on that??)

So that's why I'd say we need both more gun control laws, but probably
some very STRONG ammunition control laws.

Under those laws, all of the guns-don't-kill-people
criminals-don't-care-about-laws arguments fall apart. And they should
to any sensible person because they don't address the problem and only
serve to add FUD to it.

Lead, follow, or get out of the way on this issue.
