If your base is constructed properly, there should not be a way that the
enemy can see inside. Now of course there is the spy element. As I stated in
an earlier post on a different subject, hundreds of LN's walk in and out of
the bases every day to perform what we call the shit work. I am quite sure
that of these hundreds, there are a few who are spying on us. We have
captured some workers doing things like pace counts and drawing maps and
such.  If I know the exact coordinate of the mess hall, and I know when they
facility is open, and most inportantly, when it is at its fullest, I can
launch a couple of mortars or rockets into that place and do a LOT of
damage. Same with the fuel point or the ammo dump.

If you have not seen it, watch Gunner Palace. In that documentary, the unit
that is of focus discovers that one of their interpreters is actually a spy
for the insurgents. Just goes to show you do not know who to trust.
