I worked as a laborer during high school and right after I dropped out. Did landscaping, worked for a sprinkler company, whatever I could find. See it's easy for one of us with a computer and an internet connection to sit back and say that, because you're right, they aren't coming after many computer programming positions. Know what though? There are still kids 16-22 just starting out with little or no experience at anything that can't find the shitty low level blue color work that was once available. The problems caused by illegals don't really hurt the middle and upper class in the US, these problems effect the poor. Whole towns that once survived as pickers, planters, general construction labor, cleaning people and so on, millions of jobs that could be filled by people that were born here, or came here legally. An American used to come clean your office at night, how about now? An American, probably a neighbor kid, would cut your lawn, deliver your newspaper. Lugging around 2x4s is how you used to get into construction. Fishing boats were crewed by Americans. Also, there are more crimes being committed than "just crossing the border". How about tax evasion? Drug and arms smuggling? Human trafficking? Not to mention that in doing this we are importing people that believe that vast amounts of our nation are theirs by right. There is a movement to "reclaim" large swaths of the US. La Raza wants to return this all to Mexican control. How do you think MS 13 came to be in this country? Did you hear about the Ft. Dix terror attempts? How those men came to be in this country? It boggles my mind that you can be so laid back about this. There is a foreign Army sneaking into this country and people are just letting it happen. Our National Guard was given medals for allowing armed drug runners into our country, given medals for retreating. Border Patrol officers are sitting in prison for doing their jobs. The Mexican Army has repeatedly violated our borders, under arms. What else? What else are we supposed to take? How high do we allow the taxes to go? How tightly do we allow our rights to be restricted? The House of Representatives in also changing the law so that they no longer have to vote on tax increases. Is this acceptable? The FBI was caught to the tune of over 1000 illegal wire tap operations.
