Thanks for your ideas. I've not gotten anything more today so I'm thinking I 
may have finally satisfied him (or he takes Sundays off!) I hope so...I'm 
always in a more difficult position with customers that a typical developer 
would not be, since I do rely a lot on referrals from sites like the Abode 
Exchange and Hotscripts and a poor review from someone can really be a problem. 
Not many people have to worry about public reviews of their application(s) and 
customer support!
