The green lobby acts like no one is doing anything and the planet is going
to turn into a cheesy Kevin Kostner film any day now. That is so out of
touch with reality as to be laughable. The energy industry has been working
for decades to find alternative sources of energy to carbon-based fuels.
Billions upon billions of dollars have been invested in research into
electric cars, solar power, clean coal technology, wind farms, and other
sources. In short, there is a risk mitigation plan, but there is only so
much that can be done as a hedge.
