My daughter had a similar problem. Her name is Tayla, and the teacher kept calling out Taylor. Fortunately this teacher was a bit observant. She noticed that Tayla did not answer to any names, asked her what her name was. She says, Tayla, teacher says Taylor?, she says TAYYYLAAA! Best part is, I have seen her do this in person. Most people she meets keep wanting to call her Taylor. When she gets annoyed she will raise her voice and say her name really slow. Poor girl has been going through this for quite a few years now.
