Actually I do know who my congressman is. I didn't vote for him though.

And yes, you are right and this is what I wanted to hear.  Congress 
writes legislation to get things done, not the president. Any candidate 
can have ideas, they can even say how they are going to implement these 
ideas in great detail, but the truth is, those ideas are only that. 
Ideas. If congress is not on board with them, good luck getting it done 
unless you have people.
Now as far as who these high profile people that McCain says he will 
enlist to help him push his agenda, I don't know. Perhaps some of them 
are lobbyists? We know that these are the groups that speak for the 
people and businesses, and we also know that they are the ones who 
provide the details for legislation that the congressional 
representatives present. McCain and Clinton have been around Washington 
enough to know who the really influential lobbyists are and I would bet 
$$ that they will talk to these lobbyists to pressure congressional 
leaders to do things their way. Either that or I am just a paranoid freak.
