Obama sought the endorsement of Wright, got it, then said, "no thanks" when the controversial statements came to light. He has distanced himself, now even further and yet the comments of Wright are still characterized as 'Obama's problem.' McCain on the other hand actively sought Hagee's support, then got it. Then, when there was controversy surrounding Hagee's comments "McCain replied 'oh, probably, sure.'
