We get morons for presidents because we don't elect on ability but on connections, money and popularity. Obama has the popularity but does he really have the ability? Hillery has the connections but is she the best for the job? McCain's been around a long time but does that translate into someone who can lead this country, who can grow this country, who can protect this country and more importantly see the country as people rather than an abstract? Bloomberg is a self made man and manager who could direct this country out of its financial problems but what about peace with other countries? Guiliani was responsible for 'fixing' NY by hiring the right people, shaking up the entrenched special interests and sometimes being a dick. He's learned from then but will never be president because there are others with more of the three things I mentioned above. And he's not even the best for the position, just one of the very limited group that we can (or could) choose from.
