I wasn't making any other point here than that I didn't understand the AQ situation in Iraq and was asking if anyone knew. Especially since I heard the "stronghold" thing on NPR. Turns out what I heard was "last major stronghold" which is what the pentagon, not the MSM, said. And what the pentagon was saying was that they've been very successful in running out AQ which, as Sam pointed out, is a problem that Bush created. So what we have is the Pentagon saying: "hey, remember those 100 million fucked up messes that Bush created? Well, after 5 years we fixed one of them."
