>What error messages are thrown by the BSOD?

Fairly sure they have all just been a page fault error, no file is referenced. 
I wrote down the last one but that was a few weeks ago, before I was off on 
vacation and can't find it now. The crashes have been pretty random, but as far 
as I've been able to tell, typically during a write function. The latest one 
didn't actually throw a BSOD, I just started getting write errors from my email 
program and on restarting, had lost all the mail in the inbox. 

As for the others suggestion about upgrading to Vista, would want to be pretty 
sure it's not a hardware issue before doing that, as my experiences with it on 
my other system have not been pleasant.
