Hhm, well if this reinstall doesn't do the trick, I will give that a try for 
sure. So far, it's not looking good (they screwed up the video drivers, with 
several attempts they still don't seem to be properly installed and Windows 
won't shut down properly now either).

LOL, I hear you! If I wasn't kind of broke right now, I would certainly 
consider that. Of course, I figure I've lost at least $1K in billable hours 
just this week, much more time dealing with this system and I could easily pay 
for a nice new Mac in lost productivity.
