What do you mean?  If you're talking about the "didn't work" thing,
that was a political miss, not a tactical miss.

In politics, if you have to explain something, it sucks.  Obama keeps
forgetting to speak as if to a small child rather than a peer.

In this case when he said it "didn't work", what he meant was that it
didn't bring about an Iraqi political resolution which is what "the
surge" was supposed to do.

Therefore Obama's mistake was holding this administration to its
stated plan. What he forgot was that this administration doesn't have
a plan for anything.  They poll test words and phrases and then use
them to sell to America.  The trouble is, they use so many polls
nobody knows what anybody is actually doing.

Therefore when Obama comes along and points out that "you said if you
did this,then that would result and it didn't" he keeps forgetting the
Administration is expert at fooling people into forgetting what they
actually said.

It worked on you.
