My hawkishness is one place where I am very different than most libertarians.
I have no problem with our setting up permanent bases in Iraq and Afghanistan and dust off the old military-civil government field manuals from the Marshall plan era, taking what we did in Germany and Japan directly into this situation, which of course includes huge amounts of trials and executions, reeducation camps, and taking huge amounts of money from their economy to support it (remember all the money Germany and Japan had to shell out?)
