Most metal illnesses have no cure, yet.... they've not found a way to permanently correct the chemical imbalances in the brain that cause clinical depression, ADD, ADHD, and any number of conditions. Until that time treating the symptoms is all we have.
For some, the drugs are the only way to get through, without being completely debilitated by the "symptoms" I speak from experience...
