That's why this is usually a controversial discussion.  People suffer
from these afflictions and many times this discussion is viewed as a
"just suck it up" discussion rather than a "are we going about this
correctly" discussion.

Amputation cures gangrene, but that doesn't mean it's the best
treatment.  It's got a horrible side effect: no limb.

My point would be that this pills-fix-everything culture we've created
has to be changed or we're in deep trouble; we already can't pay our
bills.

It's the same thing as the obesity epidemic: ask a doctor how to lose
fat and you'll get a empirically disproven methodology.

Think about that - just about every doctor in America will vomit up
advice that's PROVEN not to work.  Reams of data on it.  Yet they
can't let go.  Very frustrating.
