Yes! Seriously, look around you and see how many people are 15% BF or
less. There's not too many. And many of those who are are that way
out of genetics rather than an educated crafting of their diet.

The fads are a symptom of the fact that people are utterly clueless on
what they eat, what's healthy for them, etc.

So as an example, I get 60% of my calories from fat. My carbs come
from high sugar insulin spikers, albeit pomegranate juice. I devour
salt - yummy! I avoid potatoes like the plague, and I don't eat
veggies that are really fruits like tomatoes.

Examples of "common sense" questions are:

Q: Will exercise help me lose weight?
A: No. Not without crafted diet changes; i.e., your diet must be
crafted to match your excercise or you will not lose fat even if you
cut calories.

Q: Is coffee bad for you?
A: Depends on your genes - for some people yes, for others no and it's
a benefit!

Q: Is a low fat diet good for you?
A: Typically no as people replace fat with high GI carbs.

Q: I follow the recommended daily allowance by I"m still fat. Why?
A: Because that diet is crafted by the food industry.

So it comes down to this: you might be one of those lucky people who
can really eat just about anything as long as you keep you calories
reasonable and not gain fat.

Most people, however (look around you), aren't like that.

The bottom line is, we're being lied to and our health culture is
crafted by the food industry and the Pharm industry.

Result? Mass obesity.
