McCain during Bush Admin: - Was clearly and strongly against detainee abuse and torture - Was part of the Gang of Thirteen coalition to push through judicial nominees in the face of partisan bickering - Was the original voice in favor of the surge - Pushed for Freddie/Fannie reform (say what you like, his name is on the bill)
