So the republicans were pouting about Hagel's opinion on Iraq and they
failed to support a bill the president considered  extremely
significant.

Now that's real leadership.

 I wonder if Bush or McCain made any effort at all beyond the initial
public statement of support.  Doesn't sound like it.

Of course now it's all the Democrats fault.
