Haven't had a chance to see this thread until now - been learning what
it means to be an auto mechanic (but that's another story).

Here's my take on this issue - we have "military analysts" on both
sides of the aisle. They get paid to talk about what they see and how
they expect things to go. The charges that are being leveled by the
Democrats in this case are extremely severe.

This is where things get *extremely* interesting, because if I
remember my communications law (it's been a long time), if the charges
go through the FCC, then everyone that knew about the broadcasts from
station owners down might be somewhat culpable. It also means that
the station is the first line that should have been contacted, not the
"analysts".

However, if the charges are as severe as they sound, revealing
classified military intelligence without prior authorization, the
correct Department to begin proceedings would either be Defense or
Justice, not the FCC. Since they are going through the FCC, something
tells me that they are hollow accusations that are going to do nothing
more than raise a stink.

It *is* interesting to note that even the article states that "some of
the nation's most prominent military analysts -- some of them
pro-President Bush and pro-war..." have been contacted. That means by
inference that anti-Bush and anti-war analysts have been contacted as
well. The true measure of this investigation will be based on how
equally all of the people involved are treated.
