I don't think these guys were being half as clever as the article suggests. I knew they were getting briefings at the Pentagon, I heard it on Fox News. Does anyone think they went to the Pentagon to get briefings that were critical of the war?
As to the chummy relationships among government and industry people, that is how business in Washington is done, across all areas of the government, and anyone who tells you differently is clueless about how DC works.
