OK, to go back to Larry's statement: "none of your so called liberals advocated torture or indefinite detention, warrantless wiretapping, big handouts to the rich or to campaign contributors, no bid contracts to their own companies or starting wars of aggression. How many of your pet conservatives advocated the same?"
When he said "your so called liberals" and "pet conservatives", I read "talking heads and politicians". What did you read those as? Larry is definitely making the argument that people that are for the above list are monsters. He is saying that "so called liberals" are not for it, and therefore are not monsters because of that support. He is asking how many "pet conservatives" are for it, and therefore monsters because of that support. Bruce then replied "So then all conservatives are monsters and liberals are not? Liberals don't do anything wrong? Gotcha!" I can see the first question coming from Larry's statements. (and Larry is wrong, imho) Where does the second conclusion come from? Playfulness? HIstory with Larry's views? Something you read into it that I don't see?
