Here's a question, you being in the military, do you need to have 
carry/ownership permits or is it implied because of the nature of your 
employment and I guess the same would hold true if the occupation was 
"police officer" or "federal agent".

I'm trying to hash this whole thing out because IMO, there's obviously a 
problem with the number of gun crimes committed in the US, and I don't 
think that the answer lies in "ban all guns" or "arm everyone".
