A question for all you - figured someone might be in the know about the laws on this one.
A corporation uses a 37.5 hour work week as their base work week. However, time and a half doesn't start until after you work 40 hours. Is that a federal or state law? Next ... Say you work 50 hours between Monday and Thursday. Then have a planned day of vacation, using one of your vacation days. Total hours for the week recorded: 57.5 hours. Do you get time an a half for 17.5 hours or do you only get 10 hours of overtime? Does the vacation time negate the overtime?
