We know that man has a negative impact on the environment. Man also has positive impacts on the environment. Whether human activity is the deciding factor in the temperature of the planet is another matter entirely. Why is the Earth getting colder right now? Certainly not because of decreased human activity. There are forces at work here greater than any mankind can marshal.
