Total: $900 Billion Tax Cuts: 33% Agreed Stimulus: 64% Alleged Pork: 2.1% So that's the squawk. 2 fecking percent. And looking at the list I'd say more than half isn't "wasteful". I've also heard Obama has "ordered" it taken out. BUT 2%??? That's controversy?? wtf. (not wasteful) $248 million for furniture at the new Homeland Security headquarters. (not wasteful) $600 million to buy hybrid vehicles for federal employees. (not wasteful) $400 million for the Centers for Disease Control to screen and prevent STD's. (not wasteful) $1.4 billion for rural waste disposal programs. (not wasteful) $125 million for the Washington sewer system. (not wasteful) $150 million for Smithsonian museum facilities.
