For me, the whole Columbia River Highway is the right kind of public works
project.

I love Multnomah Falls (although I think Horseshoe Falls is my favorite),
love Timberline Lodge (and miss snowboarding, even though I sucked at it).
Love lots of what they did.

That is the model for me. People at work, money in their pockets, not on
welfare, not sitting idle, contributing to the country, and contributing in
such a way that 70 years later, we are still saying "Damn. That is
impressive!"
